Galvanized Barbed Wire

To prevent corrosion and prolong the service life of barbed wire, the surface of the steel wire is coated with zinc. This is a common anti-corrosion method for metal products.

There are two kinds of galvanized barbed wire: hot-dip galvanized barbed wire and electro galvanized barbed wire.

Zinc surface density: (the more zinc, the corrosion resistance is stronger.)

Hot-dip galvanized barbed wire

Barb wire（g/㎡）: 60, 85 147 240

Electro-galvanized barbed wire

Core wire（g/㎡）: 8-14
Barb wire（g/㎡）: 8-14

Hot-dip galvanized barbed wire is the most popular because of its high zinc content, stronger corrosion resistance, and longer service life. The surface of electro-galvanized barbed wire looks smooth and bright, but it contains less zinc and has poor corrosion resistance, so the cost is relatively lower.
