Leading Inconspicuous Wire Barrier Manufacturer and Supplier in China

Spot inventory/Custom wholesale

The Dongfu Wire Mesh IWO-100 is a next-generation, non-explosive tactical barrier engineered for rapid deployment. Made from high-tensile carbon steel wire, this low-visibility wire obstacle creates a 100 sq. meter (10x10m) entanglement zone in minutes. It instantly immobilizes both wheeled and tracked vehicles, as well as personnel, making it the most cost-effective solution for temporary roadblocks, border security, and critical infrastructure protection.

Product Composition and Design Principles

The IWO-100(ow-visibility wire obstacle), also known as a Tanglefoot or “Putanka” wire barrier, is a revolutionary area denial system developed for modern security challenges. Unlike traditional, cumbersome barricades, our system is lightweight (under 30kg), man-portable, and can be deployed by a 2-person team in under 5 minutes without any special tools. Its primary advantage lies in its near-invisibility, creating a surprise element that effectively stops unauthorized access.

Material:

It is made up of a large number of high-strength fine carbon steel wire rings (similar to spring coils) that are interconnected to form a three-dimensional mesh structure. The steel wires are very thin (with diameters typically ranging from 0.4 to 0.9 millimeters) and are usually not treated for rust prevention or coloring, making them extremely difficult to spot with the naked eye in environments such as the ground, grass, or rubble.

Tactical Advantages and Characteristics

Inconspicuous:

This is its most important feature. Due to the extremely thin steel wire and its dull color, it is almost undetectable from a distance, especially at night or in complex backgrounds. This makes it difficult for the enemy to spot and avoid or clear it in advance.
Rapid Deployment:
The product is stored and transported in a folded and compressed package (as shown in your diagram, the folded size is approximately 1.2 meters x 0.6 meters x 0.12 meters). A set weighing around 30 kilograms can be deployed by 2-3 soldiers in a few minutes, quickly forming a three-dimensional obstacle area that is 10 meters long and wide and about 1.2 meters high.
Non-Explosive:
As a purely physical barrier, it is safer than explosive devices such as landmines, and is easier to transport, store and deploy. It also complies with international restrictions on certain weapons.
Cost-Effective:
Compared with traditional hard obstacles such as dragon’s teeth and anti-tank trenches, it has a lower manufacturing cost and requires much less manpower and resources for transportation and deployment, but it has a very good delaying effect on light and medium mechanized targets.

Working Principle:
The core design concept is “entanglement” rather than “obstruction”.

  • For Vehicles: When wheeled or tracked vehicles (such as trucks, armored vehicles, or tanks) attempt to pass through, these seemingly fragile steel wire rings will quickly entangle the wheels, axles, tracks, and road wheels. The more the vehicle rotates its wheels or tracks in an attempt to break free, the tighter the steel wire mesh will entangle, eventually completely locking the transmission system and immobilizing the vehicle.
  • For Personnel: Once a single soldier steps on it, the steel wire rings will immediately entangle their legs and feet. Once entangled, any struggle will cause more steel wires to wrap around the body, making it difficult to escape and thus buying time for capture or delay.
